Big Pitch, Big Game, Big Crowd, Big Hearts........and penalties !

Rangers visited MK Wanderers in the 2nd round of MKDJ7’s Cup Competition.
The MK Wanderers started the brighter and opened up the scoring, before Jordan Tavener soon equalized for Rangers with an excellent individual goal.
With end to end action, MK Wanderers scored again just before half-time.
Half Time: MK Wanderers 2 – 1 Rangers
Soon after the re-start, some clever link play by the Rangers Midfield players of Wilkinson and Tavener, enabled Finn Molloy to turn on the edge of the box and equalize with a wonderful low shot into the corner of the net, only for the Wanderers to regain the lead minutes later.
In the dying seconds, Tavener scored his 2nd, and Rangers 3rd , to send the tie into penalties.
Tavener, Molloy  Wilkinson and Firth all scored from the spot, which meant that the Rangers went through 4-2 on penalties........... A cruel finish to the game and the emotional tears of both joy and sadness could not be held back.
George Clarke was the unanimous Player of the day for his superb goalkeeping saves during the game and penalty shoot-out..
