Our thanks to the Hurricanes today for agreeing to the friendly game, with the score completely irrelevant it was an ideal opportunity for both sides to tinker with things before the start of the season. With three defenders away for the County Cup, one at Scout Camp and one out recuperating from injury we were a little light at the back, so it was all change. With Chris making a rare appearance on the pitch Steven covered for him in the goal. We started slowly and were making fundamental mistakes. Joshua Baah was dropped in a the deep end and was asked to assist Ed Arnold in the middle of the field. Second half saw us kick on and start to play. Three quick goals at the start of the second half calmed the nerves but we were still very shaky at the back. The Final Score was 8-1, I have to say i am full of praise for the Hurricanes today, after helping with training the other night it was nice to see the boys put it into practice, they caught us offside on numerous occassions and look to be gelling as a unit. I wish you all well for the season. Thanks Phil
