Moretonville Wanderers under-9s continued their fine start to the season with an impressive 1-0 win away to a strong City Colts Vipers team. During the scoreless first half Ville defended strongly and Jamie Seymour began to dominate midfield, enabling Scott Brigginshaw and Oliver Plummer Clarke to threaten the City Colts goal.

The second half followed the same pattern with stout defending from Ryan Coleman and Nathan Thomas keeping the home side at bay. With a few minutes remaining man-of-the match Paul Woodford picked the ball up on the half way line, went past two defenders and rifled the ball in to the top corner of the net.
