We entertained Willen Tornadoes lookin for our first win of the season. Starting strongly we pushed forward constantly for the first 8 minutes without really creating any opportunities when on the first attack of note Willen had the ball ran to their striker 6 yards out who fired them into the lead. We continued to push forward playing well but not finishing moves off before Dom Wheway picked up on a clearence to hit a crisp shot into the corner after 15 minutes when 5 minutes later the persistent Dhillon Smart fired a shot goal bound and just squeezed in and over the line before Dom Whewhey picked up on a further clearence to put us further ahead at 3-1 half time. Second half it really was one way traffic with the Willen goal constantly under threat and was no surprise when the impressive Smart beat 2 players on the edge of the box to fire home. The rare Willen attacke were being ably contained with Matt Russell marshalling the defence of Dan Sheldon and Chris Gannon laying a good game at right back. Midway through the second half Kieron Wraight fired home a fifth and Dom Whewhey completed his hat trick, final score 6-1 victory. Good all round performance with the forwards linking well and defence looking strong. Man of the Match Chris Gannon strong in defence.
