On a windy day with a fast drying pitch we entertained second placed Flitwick looking to improve on our recent performances. Playing into the strong wind you could see the team were up for it with much stronger determination and the team holding their shape well. The first half was even with Adam Bradbury in goal for his first full match making a couple of early saves and with 5 minutes of the halfremaing Rovers nearly scored with a shot coming back off the inside of the post and James Trice unable to turn in the rebound. As we turned round with the wind behind us we dominated the opening 10 minutes with Will Bonthrone strong in midfield and Kieron Wraight playing strongly at the back using his pace to good effect. We nearly broke the deadlock with 5 minutes remaing when Greg Chapman found himself through one on one with the keeper but the keeper produced a fine save. With the game drifting to a 0-0 Dom Whewhey found himself out on the right wing and a tremendous curling shot flew into the top corner and 2 minutes left. Flitwick came again and won a free kick midway in our half and the cross into the box was headed home with what turned out to be the last action of the game to deny the Rovers. A much improved performance where all boys played and contributed well with Kieron Wragihts all round play made him man of the matc.
