Following the FA announcement and guidance for grassroots football on Monday, Moretonville has tonight held its first COVID19 planning meeting.
Chaired by Michael Turner, all areas of our ‘family’ were represented: 2 Players (Club Captains), 3 Parent Reps, 4 Manager/Coaches as well as the Communications Officer & our Child Welfare Officer (CWO).
The purpose for tonight’s meeting was to listen to the different perspectives across the Club to gain an understanding for the desire to return to some sort of training whilst keeping in balance the compliance of FA guidance and social distancing rules.
Needless to say there is a LOT to consider and over the next 2 weeks the group will be working through a Q&A document ready for us to meet again to start to pull together the mechanisms and processes we will need to put into place to make this happen.
We will of course be transparent with all of our discussions and decision making and we will ensure all our members have the opportunity to contribute to this process.
Finally, just a reminder – the people on this COVID19 Planning Group are volunteers and are all still working full time – we are not experts but rest assured we will work hard to ensure the health, safety and well being of our children and all the members of our wonderful Club is foremost in our priorities.
