Looking to step over the sidelines and coach football or be a volunteer?
Moretonville Junior FC is proud to be hosting a Stepping over the Sidelines workshop for women and girls who might be interested in coaching.
The introductory workshop will be run by the FA’s Regional Coach Development Officer (Women and Girls) and will be held at the Moretonville grounds in Gawcott on Thursday May 5 from 6-7pm.
Please email the club at girls@moretonville.org.uk if you are interested in attending.
Stepping Over The Sidelines is an introductory workshop, for women and girls of all ages and backgrounds who would like to get into volunteering and coaching football.
The workshop aims to break down some of the barriers such as, “I have no playing or coaching experience” or “I don’t know the rules” and looks at the skills and attributes that individuals may already hold which can be transferable to coaching football.
It is also hoped that the workshop will inspire females by highlighting other positive role models who are influencing change within the game.
Finally, the workshop gives a flavour of the prospective next steps, including the BT Playmaker by England Football and the Introduction to Coaching football course. It is the perfect opportunity for clubs to engage their parents, players and increase their female volunteer base.
