Moretonville JFC Rangers U12 come away victorious at Linslade Galaxy tournament

Moretonville JFC Rangers U12 came away victorious at the Linslade Galaxy FC Tournament on Sunday, June 26, 2022.

Manager Chris Brown was delighted with the result, praising the players for their fantastic effort and thanking parents for the great support on the sidelines.

Chris said: “I just want to say a HUGE well done to the Rangers. Unfortunately we couldn’t take the whole squad, but I know they were there in spirit.”

Although starting well in the first game in the league stage, it was a challenging time for the team but they battled hard.

“I am pleased to say that the team didn’t lose heart of focus. They fought hard and managed to brilliantly turn it around and we made it through to the knockout section,” Chris said.

Winning the quarter-final with a nervous 1-0 victory, the team produced a convincing 3-0 win in the semi-final to reach their first-ever final.

“We dominated the match from the first whistle, to once again go on to win with another 3-0 victory,” Chris explained.

“It was a brilliant team effort with two great hat-tricks in our final two games, and was ultimately well deserved! Come on you Rangers!!! Thanks too to our brilliantly vocal supporters from the sidelines,” a delighted Chris added.
